About Us

We are a multidisciplinary team led by Dr. Sabrina D. Volpone at the University of Texas at Dallas. Our work is dedicated to pioneering research about sociolinguistic practices in organizations. Specifically, we use both qualitative and quantitative methods to study how language is lived in the workplace through the examination of how organizations use language to construct social realities that reinforce or dismantle power systems and how employees use language to manage their marginalized identities in those workspaces.
